Sunday's on the phone to Monday

Well, that dreaded day has come - tomorrow I go back to work after 3 weeks off. I'm kinda looking forward to it, but I'm sure the novelty will wear off by 9:30.

The last week of holidays was well spent, I went to the MCA in Sydney to see the Yoko Ono exhibit, visited friends and got lots of housework done. And I also had a huge pile of opp-shop finds that needed new hems or some fitting changes made to them. (One dress I had been waiting to fix for 2 years!)

So unfortunately there are no new fancy new things to show of this week, but I have been spending a lot of time on Pinterest looking for work outfit ideas. I'd like to share with you some of my favourite looks which if I could I'd pluck them off the screen and wear them to work!

That would save a lot time in the morning...

What's your style when you go to work? Or do you have a uniform you need to wear?

Have a fabulous week!

  1. Gorgeous pics - I thought of you the other day when I was given some vintage 60's and 70's sewing pattern books - check out my latest post. I'd never heard of this Australian designer!

  2. I stumbled upon your blog a week or so ago and have been ploughing through all your entries since then. Now I've caught up and just had to comment and tell you have much I like the blog! Your sewing projects and the old pictures you post are really inspirational since I also want to sew 60's clothing, but I never seem to get around to those patterns. Maybe I'll do now, after seeing all your pretty dresses.

  3. I can see you in these frolicking frocks, dear Catherine. I'm sure you'll eventually find patterns for some of them and add them to your work wardrobe. I'm glad you made good use of your vacation time and hope the novelty of returning to work doesn't wear off until at least 10 am! :) Have a great week, dear friend!

Dressing for work is such a pain! I try to be organised, but often am a bit haphazard!!

  8. Good luck going back to work. I love this little selection of outfits that you've chosen out! My favourites are most definitely that gorgeous coat that Paulene Stone is wearing and Sandy Shaw's outfit. Her collar and shoes are the most fab I've ever seen!
