Me Made May - week one

Hey there fine people of the internet? How have you been?

Last week was another nightmare week at
work so I did pretty much no sewing and totally forgot about Me Made May!!

I knew May 1st was coming up, but for other reasons, and then May 2nd came and I think the only me-made item I wore was a knitted scarf, but it wasn't anything to sniff at!

So I tried to make up for the two days I lost by wearing my pledged me-mades on the weekend!

On Saturday after rearranging my lounge room the boy and I went out for burgers and a movie. We saw Spider-Man and I made sure to wear something I made - which in this case was my new swing dress from last weekend!

I wore it with flat knee-high boots and a whopping big medallion!

I completely forgot Me Made May had started, so I missed 2 of my pledged work days. I'm trying to make up for it this weekend though! Tonight we are going out for dinner and to see Spider-man so I popped on my new dress I made last weekend! #mmm14 #memade

Today was a stay at home day but I remembered my me made!

I cleaned out and sorted my laundry which also has come to serve as a 'back shed' type catch all. Living in an apartment means you got find space for all that stuff you'd normally chuck in the garage like gardening stuff, tools and other random bits that you don't want to look at ever

I wore my very comfy marigold smock for it, though now I'm starting to feel the chill and this dress isn't enough - winter is coming!!

Cleaning and housework day, so one of my comfy me makes was needed! This marigold smock I made from a Burda pattern did the trick! #mmm14 #m...

Are you taking part in Me Made May? Hows the first 4 days gone for you so far?

You can see all of the other participants on the Pinterest Board and the Flickr group page

I really need to get back behind my machine, that poor coat ain't gonna sew itself!

Take care lovelies!

  1. Fab outifts! I'm struggling to get pics. When your in-house photographer (boyf) is away working and you can't do a decent selfie to save your life you're in trouble.

I'll make up for this - even if I have to ask a work colleague to help a sister out!

    1. thanks! i agree! i normally hate doing mirror selfies but its the easiest way to document it each day. My bf tends to use it as a chance to muck around and doesnt like waiting to take 400 pictures! lol

  2. Two absolute beauties, Cat! I've coveting that big pendant, too! You'll need some thermal tights and a cape over that gorgeous marigold dress if your winter is anything like ours! xxx

    1. thank you! i love this pendant - i bought it on esty from someone in LA so im hoping its either 60s or 70s cause its amazing and huge!

winter is not even here, but it will probably be like what were having now, which is about 9 in the early morning so i do have tights and gloves and so on. but we manage to get to 20 during the day still so they all come off for lunch!
